To T.Britt,

I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:

Samual Edgar O'Brien-known as Barney. Born around 1900 and lived with the family in Rangoon.

Father was Jack; mother Millie Vernant. Sister Nelly was married to Mr NS Smith Simon of Solar Pagoda Road.

Brother James died in France 1917; brother Terence died in London in the boxing ring.

Barney was in regular touch with family in England till 1933, when he vanished, after the death of other family members.

He was my Dad's cousin. I would love to know what happened to him and if he left any family.

He was a keen boxer and swimmer.

Maybe I can help a bit.
