To Bev Parkin,

I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:

Iím looking for any information on my great grandfather George William Roberts. His son,

my grandfather, Arnold Charles Roberts, was born in Rangoon in 1890 and left home aged

16 never to speak of his family again! No idea of Georgeís wifeís name! Arnold ended up

in Bombay where he married my grandmother. Could George be buried In Rangoon? Birth

date circa 1860? George worked for the Bombay and Burma trading corporation. We donít

even know if there were any other children but suspect George remarried and maybe that

is why Arnold left home? They were a catholic family. Any help would be greatly

appreciated

Bev Parkin

Maybe I can help a bit.
