To Richard Fagg,

I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:

My Grandad, George William Fagg in the Buffs Regiment was in

Rangoon, Married Myrtle Daye from Rangoon,St Johns Cantonment. 2

children born in Rangoon. George and Minnie. George died. Myrtle

said to be one of 17 children. Her father was John Richard Daye

believed to be a doctor or bandsman in the british army, also

married a Burmese lady, unknown. Brother of Myrtle was `ozzy`

probably spelt differently. Family were in touch with living

residents in the uk til the early 80`s then the the uk contact

passed away. I have limited docs like marriage certs etc. George was

sent back to uk to be demobbed in the early 30`s and upon the death

of their son george in Rangoon Myrtle was put on a troop ship and

sent to england to be with george senior between 1930-35. Desperate

to find some living relatives.

Maybe I can help a bit.
