To Keith Mckibben,

I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:

Looking for any details on my Uncle George Mckibben. He was purported to be working as a manager of a ruby mine in the 1930-1940 era. I came across a last known address of his and its as follows:

Mr George Mckibben, 59 Culvert Rd, Post Office, Kandawlay'

C/O Aminullah Khan; S.I.P. Hackney Carriage Dept, Rangoon.

We lived in India from 1927-1950and my mother did mention he made the infamous Burma Trek to India and that was the last time known. It was presumed he went back to live there after the war. I never ever met my uncle and always wondered what happened to him. Any information of him, his death or even burial site would be appreciated

Maybe I can help a bit.
