To Sharman Minus,|
I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:
I am looking for any information on my grandfather, Mackertich Arakiel Minus, or his 7 sisters, who lived in Rangoon. All I know is that he died in Rangoon in 1948, having survived the occupation of the Japanese. I'm particularly interested in finding anyone who might have known him, or his extended family. They lived on an estate on the corner of Windsor and Shan Roads, along with his sisters, uncles, etc. My father, aunts and uncle were born there, too. Mack also had a house in the Golden Valley that no one can remember the address of. I have a family tree of the Minus clan going back to Mack's grandfather, but hardly any anecdotes to go with it. I would appreciate any help.
