To For Mr Harry Rose (UK),

I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:

Harry Rose served in Burma for five years during the 1940s. He met Barbara

Wain when working in Mandalay for U Bar Ket, Burma Police. Harry was with

the Military Police and 14th Army. He set up a prisoner cage in a field

camp to imprison Japanese in the hills near Naga territory. He originally

came from and joined up in Birmingham and was sent to Durban to train,

then by train across India and into Burma. I have photos and letters from

Barbara. I would like to trace her or her family.

Maybe I can help a bit.
