Sutherland, CE, who was resident in rangoon, burma, until his death in

1869.

Sutherland is credited with being the first to have the first steam mill

for processing paddy in rangoon in 1860:

his widow, EMMA SARAH, nee MEREDITH obviouisly departed rangoon and in

GEELONG, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA, by christmas 1871, was married to BENJAMIN

GEORGE DAVIES, esq., MP.

EMMA died at her residence, "RHOS FERIG", south yarra on christmas day

1884.

i know of one child ELEANOR, d.o. TSS & ESS, who married 22.12.1896 to

RICHARD ARTHUR LEESON FANSHAWE ( B 1852); he was the DISTRICT

SUPERINTENDANT OF POLICE, RANGOON. another daughter was ANNIE MARY JOAN

Sutherland DAVIES, who married CLEMENT HALL TAYLOR of coghill's creek,

victoria on 14.3.1929...........
