To Stanley Thomas Edwards,

I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:

My name is Einar Meling, a Norwegian citizen (64) living in northern Thailand. I have been asked by Stanley Thomas Edwards to help him to find lost relatives.

Stanley Thomas Edwards was born in Canpha near Mergui on 13 October 1942 four months before both his parents were killed by the Japanese. Stanley's father was an English business man in charge of mining operations in Tavoy and Mergui area (Tavoy Tin Dredging Co), as well as owning a rubber plantation near the airport in Mergui. His first name is believed to be Paul, his family name Edwards. Stanley's mother was Thai; her name was Na Tin May Rwarad.

We have seen with great interest Maya's note on the site where she searches for information about her family. We have tried to contact her without success, probably her email address is no longer working.

Maya appears to be Stanley's niece. For more info please contact us at einar.meling@yahoo.co.uk

Thank you!

On behalf of Stanley Thomas Edwards,

Einar Meling

Maybe I can help a bit.
