To Maureen Lilian Mortley/McCarthy,

I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:

This search is to locate my mother. I left Burma in 1959 to live with my grand parents who had adopted me.

My mothers married name was Sheila Mortley. She married Thomas William Mortley in 1948/49. Thomas died in 1950/51. Sheila lived in Yankimo and she was a school teacher.

Sheila lived with a man named Leslie Eade to whom she had a daughter who was named Patricia (Bunty) Eade.

Later she remarried and moved to the Shan States as he was a customs officer. She then gave birth to a boy named Terry.

She has sisters who were living in Rangoon they are 1. Betty 2. Molly

3. Barbara Minus

Contact was lost during the early 1960's

Maybe I can help a bit.
