To Helen Watson (family Forster),

I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:

Does anyone know anyone in Burma with the surname Forster?

My grandfather, an Englishman called Horatio Forster, lived in Burma late 1800's early 1900's. He married a Burmese lady who died in childbirth (a son). My grandfather returned to England with his son. He met and married my maternal grandmother. I never realised I had a half Burmese uncle until after my mother died. My Burmese uncle apparently returned to Burma in the 1930's.

I don't think my Burmese uncle will still be alive as he would be about 100 yrs old by now! But I may have Burmese cousins.

If anyone knows of anyone in Burma with the surname Forster, please can you contact me or get them to contact me.

Thank you.

Maybe I can help a bit.
