To Sandar,

I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:

I am sending this message from Rangoon, and I would so love to find my relatives in Great Britain. My grandfather's name is George John Coia and he was born on 8/10/1902 in Rangoon. He married an Arakanese girl by the name of Ma San Hla Pyu on 21/2/1928. They had about four sons and one daughter (maybe two).

My father was one of the sons and his name was Gervasius Kenneth Coia born in Rangoon on 11 March 1938. He married Ma Mya May in Rangoon. He passed away years ago and my side of the family have lost touched with the British side, whom we believe are still living in England.

The other sons are: Leo George Coia, Andrew Joseph Coia, and Frederick Philip Coia. It would be wonderful I could find some of their relatives or their descendants! I have copies of the boys' certificates of baptism at St. Mary's Church in Rangoon.

Maybe I can help a bit.
