To Karen Rolls,

I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:

I am trying to trace any information about or relatives of my maternal grandmother, Ann Elizabeth Rowlands (nee Evans), born in Wales in 1900. She married my grandfather, Evan Arthur Rowlands at the English Baptist Chapel in Rangoon in March 1924, they had a daughter Eva Myfanwy, born in October 1924 in Mandalay. Their relationship ended around 1926 or 1927 and I do not know what happened to her after that.

I believe her parents (both Welsh) were missionaries and I know that my grandfather worked for Whiteaway & Laidlaw in Rangoon and later, I think, in Mandalay.

If anyone has any information, it would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe I can help a bit.
