To Hayley Cooper,|
I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:
My Grandad came to England in the 1940's or 1950's to go to university here, he lived in Hertfordshire, he was supposed to go back to Myanmar but he meet my nan who was a nurse and was cut off from his family for being with an English woman and had no contact again with them as far as we know. His name was Maung Lun Khin he was born on 25th December i think the year would have been 1925. All i know is that he was from a very wealthy family in Myanmar, he had 3 brothers and a sister called May (who my mum apparently looks like) he may have had other sisters and he was taken to fight in the Japenese war when he was 13. He is now deceased so i am not able to ask the questions that i would like to know about my family and where we are from and it is important to me just to find out about them and more about my Grandad, if anyone has any information please, please contact me.
