To Irwin J De Souza,

I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:

Please assist me if you can. We live in Adelaide, South Australia.

My father, Randolph Anthony De Souza, died in 1942, during the second world war, in a catholic village named "Zawgyi". We think it is about 15 miles south east of Mandalay.

This village was on the banks of a river, and had a catholic church and nuns. Our family lived there for some 2 years. I was 11 or 12 years old. My father was buried there - Randolph De Souza; so we need some information regarding this village, or anything connected with this area. We find it very difficult to access any info.

Maybe I can help a bit.
