To Fiona Pipe,|
I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:
I am trying to find any information surrounding my late mother's family. Her name was Daphne May Matilda Calogreedy born in 1926 in Toungoo Burma. Her father's name was George Charles Calogreedy & worked for McGregor & Co timber farming. He played golf at the McGregor Golf Club. His first wife - was called Stella Evelyn Foy who died in 1928 & he later remarried & had another daughter called Joy. My great aunt Matilda (Mattie)Calogreedy was apparently instrumental in the Burmese royal family's downfall as documented in the book "The Laquer Lady" Any information regarding Mcgregor & Co or the people mention would be appreciated greatly.
