I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:
I am trying to trace my family on my late grandmothers side knowing very little about it. I do know she grew up in Burma as Mavis West and married my grandfather John Halliwell at St Marks Church on 16th Sept 1946. My great grandparents had sadly passed by this time but we have no idea how or why. We are trying to contact any friends or relatives of my grandmother who may help us trace relatives we believe we may possibly have or simply piece together the ealier years of my grandmothers life. I do plan on visiting Burma and would like to visit areas important or relevent to my family, if any one could shed some light, please help.
