To Rose Van Camp,

I am replying to your query for a lost person, which I saw on the Britain-Burma Society's Lost Relatives web page (http://shwepla.net/Misspers.mv). You said:

I'm looking for relatives and friends, acquaintances of my mother Patricia Duarte who was born in Rangoon in 1925 and left the country with her parents, Dr. Armand Duarte and Rose Duarte, née Aaron in 1942. They emigrated to Karachi, Pakistan and later Patricia moved to Belgium with her husband, my father, Frans Van Camp.

My mother used to play the piano very well and became a piano teacher. She is 80 years old now, in reasonable good health, but not able to give me much info on her life in pre-war Burma on account of bad memory.

I do hope to find some of her contacts of Rangoon and would be happy to put you in touch with her. Also anyone who knows more about her family, the Goan side (Duarte-Dias) and the Jewish side (Aaron and Solomon).

Thank you for your help,

Rose van Camp

Geel, Belgium

Maybe I can help a bit.
