A. No. Originally, membership was for British and Burmese individuals, and members of mixed families, but now it is open to all who undertake to approach the Society with respect for its principles. The Society is concerned with friendship and understanding, rather than controversy or political campaigning. Membership is for individuals with a serious interest in the Burmese people and their history, arts culture and welfare. Members should be ready to contribute as well as receive.
