Q. How does the joining mechanism work?
A. Go first to the Enrolment page, where you will be asked to fill in our form with the basic facts about yourself. These will be kept safe, and you will not be targeted with advertising. However, it would be useful if you could add something about how you came to be interested in Burma, as a way of introducing you to other members, and finding kindred spirits among them. You will also be able to choose your own nickname and password.

Next you will need to pay a year's subscription - which is very moderate. There are two methods:

  1. Anybody can pay by credit card, via ClickBank's secure server. The amount is US $14.95 - which can be put in from anywhere in the world. You then get immediate membership, and admission to the members' area. Log in straight away with your nickname and password, and a ratifying code which ClickBank will give you.
  2. If you have a bank account in the UK you can pay by sterling cheque, which is a bit cheaper - only 10.00. The details you have entered on the web site will be held temporarily there until your cheque reaches the Society by post. Your membership will then be ratified, and you will be able to log in to the web site as a full member.
