Q. When I join, how safe is it for me to enter my credit card information?
Q. Will my postal address and e-mail address be kept secret?
Q. Does the Britain-Burma Society support Daw Aung San Suu Kyi?
A. The Society is non-political by constitution. This means that we are not able to pledge support either to the Burmese government or to the opposition. Nor do we meddle in Burmese politics. However, we are pledged to friendship with the Burmese people, and to their best interests. So however the situation develops, our members are likely to favour those policies or initiatives which seem most likely to benefit the Burmese people. This is not a matter for the Society, but for the individual judgement of our members.THIS WEB SITE
If political involvement is what you seek, may we suggest you try some of the many organizations that are listed on our page reviewing other Burma-oriented web sites. There is nothing to prevent our members from also belonging to another organization.
